HIGH SPEED SLIDESHOW

This video work is a slideshow depicting more than a thousand images at the speed of 10 photographs per second. This series started in 2006 and since then the artist has constantly published an updated version of the piece. The photographs have been selected from his past works that explore the various phenomena captured on surfaces. The images are shown in a random order. For the solo exhibition “Boundary X” (gallery ROCKET, 2008 / Digital Video, 02’06”, 1,260 photographs) and “entropix: high speed slide show” (NADiff Gallery, 2009 / Digital Video, 10’00”, 6005 photographs), this slideshow was displayed as the only light source in the exhibition space. Prints were viewed in the flickering of the photographs being displayed at high speed. In 2013, “HIGH SPEED SLIDESHOW” (Full HD Digital Video, 03’26”, 2,060 photographs) was shown at the project room of “Unseen Photo Fair 2013” in Amsterdam. In 2015 the latest version of the project was made which consists of 1,950 photographs.
