東京の街を新陳代謝する有機体のような存在として捉え、様々な人工物の表面で起こる微細な変化や現象にクローズアップして撮影した作品。タイトルの『entropix』は、都市におけるエントロピーの痕跡をデジタルイメージ化した本作を象徴するタイトルとして、「entropy」、「picture」、「pixel」を組み合わせた造語。本作では2000 年代後半の再開発ラッシュによって刻々と変化していく東京をフィールドワークするように撮影した。

ENTROPIX
This series depicts close-ups of the surfaces of various manmade objects found in Tokyo. They exist as organic phenomena that contribute to the continual regeneration of the city by being detailed and physical examples of change. The title “ENTROPIX” is derived from ‘entropy’, ‘picture’ and ‘pixels’ that refers to the works being digitally photographed signs of entropy within the city. In this series, the artist did fieldwork in Tokyo and took photographs of numerous changes that took place due to rapid redevelopment in the late 2000’s.
