The exhibition “HO VISTO UN RE (THE KING AND I)” by the Italian fabric manufacturer Alcantala featured the presentation of new works by eight artists/ groups using the company’s products. Koyama selected a fabric with regularly arranged holes in the shape of circles, triangles, and squares from the company’s product lineup. He presented the work “○△□,” which takes the moiré pattern produced by overlapping fabrics as its motif. In the exhibition space, Koyama deployed a three-dimensional installation, with Z-shaped display walls covered in fabric printed with the artwork. Additionally, fabric with the same shapes of holes as the moiré pattern was hung on iron stands, enhancing the visual impact of the exhibition.
